What to expect

Day 1 Arrival in Athens.

  1. Acropolis

    3 hours

For tonight we propose you an Athens by-night tour. Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the city centre and on the slopes of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and take photos of the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you to a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floor show with live music and Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes.

Day 2 Panoramic tour of Athens.

  1. Acropolis Museum

    1 hour

The museum was built to house every artefact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece and will in particular also house the sculptures historically known as the "Elgin Marbles" (sculptures stolen from the Acropolis in the early nineteenth century by Thomas Bruce, 7th Earl of Elgin and currently held in the British Museum) when these are returned to Athens. The Acropolis Museum also lies over the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens. The museum was founded in 2003 while the Organization of the Museum was established in 2008. It opened to the public on 20 June 2009. More than 4,250 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 square meters.

We start with a unique experience of the countryside of Mykonos Island
Our first stop will be the idyllic beach, Ag. Ioannis with the best view of Delos Island and we will see fishermen and their boats at the small pier, private chapel and houses built in typical Cycladic architectural style. At the village of Ano Mera, the most traditional place, you can also visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century and then we will have enough free time for a stroll around the square. The next stop is Kalafatis beach where there is time to relax a little before going back to town. Explore Mykonos town walking into the narrow cobblestone streets and passing by the traditional labyrinth of the old town. We will see the famous windmills, Little Venice Paraportiani church, and Saint Nickolas of fishermen. After the walking tour, you are free to explore the town on your own.
